Its in-house pool of expert faculty is enhanced with a veritable galaxy of talented visiting faculty - eminent academic or corporate professionals. ISB&M undoubtedly offers best-of-class management education in West Bengal. Our faculty brings a high quality, challenging educational experience to the student. Academically sound and experts in their respective fields of management, our faculty members have various kinds of professional experience in a range of work settings. Their ability to integrate professional experience into the classroom learning process rings in the application of textbook 'theory' to various real world situations, enriching the student beyond the norm.
The core approach to learning is based on multiple teaching methods such as classroom lectures, case analysis, group projects, business simulation games, assignments & workshops, group discussions, role playing, seminars, debate, Soft Skills development, grooming sessions, and more.
Case Study Approach:
Besides regular lectures and interactive sessions, case studies are used as a powerful tool in the learning process. This gives students the opportunity to study real life scenarios.
Discussing ideas in a group is a great way to solve problems, and find valuable insights into business issues. We pride ourselves on providing an open forum for discussion where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas.
Events and Programmes:
ISB&M's learning programme requires students to actively work on various events and life style related events. These programmes are entirely managed by students and they learn peer leadership, planning, resource management and team work.
While classroom learning strengthens conceptual knowledge, practical learning equips students with the aptitude to work effectively. At ISB&M we have moved away from the traditional room-bound forms of management education to create a new breed of 'Industry Ready' managers. They are ready to work and contribute, able to seamlessly blend into the corporate world, and equipped with the right package of knowledge, application and technological agility.
Students are required to take up live projects from industry. They analyze business issues, learn to develop options and in the process they develop action plans, professional attitude, skills and discipline. This is facilitated through groups of students coming together for research, analysis of issues, presentations, corporate visits etc. It equips the students to handle group dynamics and interpersonal relationships effectively.
