Orientation Programme

Key Objectives of the Orientation Programme

  • To expose students to the world of business
  • To familarise with the system and process of the school
  • Inculcate the culture, values and lifestyle amongst the students
  • Interaction of senior business executives from various industry verticals.

The orientation programme culminates with the outbound trip during which the students interact informally with the faculty and seniors.

Foundation Day-FORZA All Campus

Glamour, fun, fierce competition and friendship builds spirited enthusiasm and passion as you experience FORZA–Force, Zest, Attitude, over two days. It was celebrated by students, faculty, and alumni from all campuses on July 22-24, 2009 in Pune. The event had over 1000 energetic and friendly students participating in a healthy arena of events in tough battle fields to be the most outstanding winner!


Crescendo

A platform to bring students of prominent colleges and B-Schools to compete in a health manner. The events are well planned with an edge of learning and imparting spirit of completion. The finale was the live performance of Neeraj Sridhar Of Bombay Viking, with his youthful singing. Melodious singer Mohit Chauhan of "Masakali…masakali..." fame had the foot tapping romantic youth accompanying with the beat.


Independence & Republic Day:

The day to remind every citizen of India should be prosperous and secure and be able to lead a life of dignity and self respect. Flag hosting marks the ceremony. An array of cultural and sports events are enjoyed by the faculty and students.

 



DISCIPLINE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Carry Identity Card with you all the time.
  • Switch off mobile phones in the classroom, library, computer labs and in academic activities.
  • Maintain silence in the corridors, inside and outside the classrooms.
  • Attend all lectures, tutorials and extra-curricular activities regularly.
  • Read notice board regularly.
  • Use library and computer labs during your free time.
  • Do not spoil and disfigure library books.
  • Avoid writing/scribbling on the walls, benches of the classroom.
  • Keep the campus neat and clean.
  • Cooperate with institute authorities in maintaining the lawns and gardens.
  • Switch off lights, fans and ACs while not in use.
  • Respect others' independence in order to earn your own.
  • Not to indulge in rude and indecent behavior with the faculty, staff and other students.
  • Observe self-discipline, and punctuality.
  • Report to the Director in case of exigency.
  • Formal dress/college uniform as and when desired by the institute.
  • Take prior approval of the Director/Academic Chairperson for remaining absent.
  • Smoking, consumption of drugs and alcoholic drinks are prohibited in the campus.
     
Ragging in any form is prohibited in the institute. Ragging is illegal and a criminal offence under law. For a reported case of ragging, it is mandatory for ISB&M to initiate disciplinary process and also report the same to the Police. Students are to refrain from any kind of ragging, it will be considered as gross indiscipline.

Reservation of Rights

The Management of International School of Business & Media reserves the right to change policies, systems and procedures, faculty mix, regulations affecting students or any other suitable modifications, should these be deemed necessary in the interest of the programms and the institute.

Mentoring and Career Counseling

Counseling every student of ISB&M will be assigned to G G T (Guide, Guardian cum Tutor) who will assist and guide the student in career planning, progress monitoring and problem solving related to the programme. The Institute attaches great importance to the need for the process of mentoring and suitable guidelines will be published separately.
