Learning Process
ISB&M teaching and assessment methods aim to create a
participant-driven learning environment. The learning process is
stringent and demanding. It aims at learning concept, perspective
and a new approach to life and career.
Teaching Methodology:
The teaching methodology is bench marked with global perspective to
meet challenges of the competitive business environment. Students,
imbibe a holistic perspective and enhance their employability. There
are modules on business communication, industry analysis and cross
cultural etiquette. At ISB&M, multiple teaching methods like case
analysis, group projects, business simulation games, assignments,
lectures and syndicates form the core of the learning process.
Live Assignments:
While in-class learning strengthens conceptual knowledge, practical
learning equips students with the aptitude to work effectively.
Students are required to take up live projects from industry.
Case Study Approach:
case studies are used as a powerful tool in the learning process.
This gives students the opportunity to study real life scenarios.
Group Discussions:
Discussing ideas in a group is one of the best ways to solve the
problem and find valuable solutions to business issues. It is
imperative to provide an open forum for discussion where students
feel comfortable sharing their ideas.
Group Projects:
Students are required to take up live projects from industry. They
analyze business issues, learn to develop options and in the process
they develop action plans, professional attitude, skills and
discipline. This equips the students to handle group dynamics and
interpersonal relationships effectively.
Business Simulation Games:
Business games, simulations, role plays etc. form integral part of
ISB&M's curriculum. This makes students more competent and confident
to handle similar situations in the competitive business
environment.
Syndicates:
Ability to work as part of large teams is also seen as essential to
the development of students. To imbibe this ability, students are
frequently divided into 15-20 member teams or syndicates to work on
research issues.
Events and Programmes:
ISB&M’s learning program requires students to actively work on
various events and life style related activities. These programmes
are entirely managed by students. Students learn peer leadership,
planning, resource management and value system.
