Orientation Programme for Freshers

Transformation begins with the Orientation Programme. The Orientation Progamme is held when the new batch of students join the programmes. Normally it spreads over a week with an Outbound Programme in the last day. The key objectives of the Orientation Programme are:

  • To expose students to the world of business
  • To familiarize with the systems and processes of the institute
  • Inculate the culture, values and lifestyle amongst the students
  • Interaction with senior business executives from various industry experts.

Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations are held with full dignity and honour. Flag hosting marks the ceremony followed by sports and cultural events.

Annual Convocation

Annual Convocation is held in each campus. During this solemn ceremony, certificates are awarded to successful students on completion of their programmes. Medals are given to outstanding performers of different programmes. The Convocation Address and the Keynote speech are delivered by high-profile dignitaries.

DISCIPLINE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Carry Identity Card all the time.
  • Switch off mobile phones in the classrooms, library, computer labs and in academic activities.
  • Maintain silence in the corridors - inside and outside the classrooms.
  • Attend all lectures, tutorials and extracurricular and cocurricular activities regularly.
  • Read notice board regularly.
  • Use library and computer labs during your free time.
  • Do not spoil and disfigure library books.
  • Avoid writing /scribbling on the walls, chairs and tables in the classrooms and labs.
  • Keep the campus neat and clean.
  • Cooperate with institute authorities in maintaining the lawns and gardens.
  • Switch off lights, fans and ACs while not in use.
  • Respect others' independence.
  • Not to indulge in rude and indecent behavior with the faculty, staff and students.
  • Observe self-discipline and punctuality.
  • Report to the Director in case of exigency.
  • To wear Formals dress /college uniform as and when desired by the institute.
  • Take prior approval of the Director/Academic Chairperson for remaining absent.
  • Smoking, consumtion of drugs and alchoholic drinks are prohibited in the campus.

Ragging in any form is prohibited in the college. Ragging is illegal and a criminal offence under law. For a reported case of ragging, it is mandatory to initiate disciplinary process and also report the same to the Police. Students are to refrain from any kind of ragging, it will be considered as gross indiscipline.

Reservation of Rights

The Management of International School of Business & Media reserves the right to change policies, systems and procedures, faculty mix, regulations affecting students or any other suitable modifications, should these be deemed necessary in the interest of the programmes and the institute.

Mentoring and Career Counseling

Counselling every student of ISB&M will be assigned to G G T (Guide, Guardian cum Tutor) who will assist and guide the student in career planning, progress monitoring and problem solving related to the programme. The School attaches great importance to the need for the process of mentoring and suitable guidelines will be published separately.
